Bleecker St.

While in New York, I was on a mission to find cool places to shop. Bleecker Street was kind of a bust and so was SoHo, on my first trip. I realized that the kind of stuff I was looking for was mostly quintessential Melrose Ave style. But I did go back for a second time and found a few cute little boutiques on Broadway. I had been exploring Mott Street and Mulberry Street when I should have been looking around Spring Street. I had gotten as far as Canal Street and then hopped on the subway because that area is absolutely frightening. Canal Street is where stolen and faux designer bags go to get sold on the black market. There's also a lot of Chinese influence here, so if you're looking for jade I suppose this is where you'd end up. Anyways, stuff in SoHo was way more expensive than it should be, but there are a lot of local designers that really take care of their costumers, so I feel like the stuff I bought was worth it. I wanted a belt and it didn't fit so the boutique owner brought out a leather hole puncher and took care of that problem. You just don't get service like that at Urban Outfitters or Bloomingdale's. I'll post about the stuff I bought later.

One week old shellac (it peeled off later that same day). Love the finish but it only lasted me a week.
Oh and amazing ring I picked up at this shop on Bleecker that was going out of business.

I look unkempt and flustered due to my crazy morning on the last day there. I went to Norma's at Le Meridien and I was served a smoothie that I was told the incorrect ingredients to and it ended up having something I was allergic to in it. I had my epinephrine shot so everything ended up fine.

Three story Top Shop. Looked as unconquerable as a Forever 21, but with better clothes.

I apologize for the photo explosion...that's the majority of the photos but I'll probably find some more on my camera later!
