I got the amazing Canon EOS Rebel T5i for my birthday; I'm slightly obsessed...actually, extremely obsessed. I've been blogging since 2009 and this is my first DSLR so naturally, I'm ecstatic. I like the juxtaposition of the polka dots and the metallic strap sandals. It makes the outfit more day appropriate. top-Nordstrom jeans-Alice & Olivia shoes-asos earrings-asos
Threw my best friend a birthday party on Friday (our birthdays are 3 days apart). We basically turned my apartment into an 80s high school dance venue. Next weekend: my birthday event; can't wait. top-Lazy Oaf x Nasty Gal boots-Doc Martens necklace-Zara Rachel necklace-Urban Outfitters wedges-Karmaloop
I had a lovely birthday dinner at my favorite restaurant, Fig & Olive, with a few friends and my sister. I had my 18th birthday at the Fig & Olive in the meatpacking district (NYC) last year. It has become a sort of tradition.
My mom asked me what I wanted for my birthday: Louboutins or a Canon EOS Rebel t5i. Naturally, I chose the latter (DUH) so get ready for some awesome photos (I hope).
Ever since I got signed to Pinkerton Models, I've gone down a size, lost two inches here & there and I'm still working on being healthier and active. I've been doing Muay Thai kickboxing, yoga and pilates along with juicing, cutting out carbs (fewer sandwiches) and staying away from dairy products. I've noticed such a difference in my energy levels that I've become a gym rat; my day isn't complete without a work out. I actually even started doing cardio twice a day but then I decided to turn it down a notch (I got a tad addicted to those endorphins).
I spent a couple of weeks loading on protein (whey protein shakes, hard boiled eggs, etc) and now I'm focusing on vegetables, juices and smoothies so that I can lean out instead of bulking up.
It's officially my month of birth. I'm only really excited about being able to have cake, not really the birthday itself. Nineteen is an uneventful age but it's one year closer to not being a teenager anymore which I can't wait for. I got another tattoo, dedicated to my sister Jasmine and I subsequently got in a lot of trouble with my parents...oops. College makes you feel like an adult but once you go home it's like, "NOPE. You're still a kid". Guess I need to slow down on the permanent marking of myself for a bit.
